The Planning

Forester will hold a senior position within the Southern Woodlands Planning Team. You will leverage over 15 years of forestry expertise to develop strategic partnerships and oversee essential planning activities.

Your role is crucial for the sustainable management of forest resources while ensuring respect and collaboration with Indigenous nations. Key Responsibilities:
Promote safety leadership in planning projects
Collaborate on permits with First Nations stakeholders
Establish and maintain trust with Indigenous and public partners
Facilitate effective consultation processes
Oversee permit and site plan preparation Requirements:
Registered Skilled Forester status with FPBC
Minimum 15 years of relevant forestry experience
Experience in cooperative planning with First Nations
High-level leadership and communication abilities
