Seek a rewarding full time Physician Assistant position within the Calgary Stroke Program, providing critical care to stroke patients. Work alongside stroke neurologists at Foothills Medical Centre in Alberta’s comprehensive stroke center. This role involves providing day-to-day clinical care for stroke and TIA patients under the supervision of skilled neurologists.
You will be integral to the multidisciplinary team, engaging in quality improvement initiatives and patient education, while ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines. Ongoing orientation will enhance your expertise in stroke conditions during the initial employment phase. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient assessments and formulate individualized care plans
Document clinical interventions and progress notes thoroughly
Participate in emergency STAT stroke interventions
Communicate effectively with patients and their families
Join ongoing training and improvement activities within the division Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Eligibility for registration with CPSA in Alberta
Ability to manage diverse clinical care tasks
Solid dedication to patient-focused care and teamwork
