Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing accurate project cost estimates, supporting project planning, and ensuring competitive pricing for our construction projects. This position offers an prospect to work on diverse projects within a cooperative environment, utilizing advanced estimating tools and techniques. The Construction Estimator will be integral in driving project success through precise budgeting and strategic negotiation.

Duties
Prepare detailed construction cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop accurate pricing models.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather competitive pricing and negotiate terms.
Develop comprehensive bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
Review project scopes and identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction industry trends, material costs, and labor rates.
Assist in the development of project schedules and resource planning based on estimates.




Support project management teams throughout the bidding process and during project execution as needed.

Requirements
Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.
Proficiency with estimating or project management software.
Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
Solid project management abilities to coordinate multiple bids and deadlines effectively.
Knowledge of pricing strategies within the construction industry to ensure competitive yet profitable bids.
Ability to interpret complex blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
A background in construction or related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus. This role is vital for ensuring our projects are accurately estimated, competitively priced, and successfully executed from inception to completion.
