Mi’kmaw Nation is looking for an inspiring principal to manage the school’s overall operations and implement culturally relevant practices. You will lead instructional and strategic initiatives, ensuring that student achievements reflect Mi’kmaw values. Building relationships with families and the community will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities:
Provide robust leadership in alignment with the Nation's vision
Manage daily school operations and staff oversight
Cultivate an inclusive climate for all learners
Evaluate teaching staff to support academic excellence
Integrate Mi’kmaw perspectives in curricular delivery Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Education required; Master’s preferred
Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certification or eligibility
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience, with leadership preferred
Robust knowledge of Mi’kmaw culture and traditions
Experience in First Nations environments is a plus Lead impactful educational practices while expanding cultural connections within the community.
