Acden Aves is seeking qualified Biologists with a valid Alberta Herbicide Applicator Licence for a short-term environmental project in the Alberta Oil Sands. This is an excellent prospect for experienced environmental professionals looking for a short term field assignment with all travel and accommodations provided.

Position Details
Term: Approximately 15-days
Location: Alberta Oil Sands work site, fly in, fly out
Schedule: Project-based field assignment
Travel: Flights provided
Accommodations: Camp accommodations provided
Meals: Provided at no cost
Transportation: Site transportation provided as required

Responsibilities
Conduct vegetation and environmental field work in support of project objectives.
Apply herbicides in accordance with regulatory requirements, site procedures, and manufacturer specifications.
Complete required field documentation and reporting.
Identify and assess vegetation species and site conditions.
Follow all environmental, health, safety, and client requirements.
Work effectively in remote field environments and varying weather conditions.
Maintain qualified communication with project supervisors and client representatives.

Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resources, or a related field.




Valid Alberta Herbicide Applicator Licence (required).
Experience conducting vegetation assessments and field-based environmental work.
Strong knowledge of native and invasive plant species.
Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to work safely in remote industrial environments.
Robust attention to detail and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in the Alberta Oil Sands, mining, energy, or industrial environments.
Experience with vegetation management programs.
Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements and field data collection.

Physical Requirements
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain.
Ability to carry field equipment and perform physically demanding field tasks.
