As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in leading assurance engagements, managing client relationships, mentoring junior team members, and delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services.

Lead compilation, review, and audit engagements for private companies and not-for-profit organizations.
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with ASPE and CSRE 2400.
Review corporate income tax (T2) returns and supporting working papers.
Ensure engagements are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with skilled standards.
Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
Build and maintain solid client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor.
Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior accountants.
Assist with client onboarding and implementation of accounting processes and systems.
Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and increase efficiencies.
Stay current with changes in accounting standards, tax legislation, and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with partners and team members to deliver exceptional client service.
Job Qualifications
CPA designation or currently in the final stages of obtaining your CPA designation.
Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience with audit and assurance responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of: ASPE, CSRE 2400, Corporate Tax (T2), HST, Payroll
Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
Familiarity with corporate structures and articles of incorporation.
Solid organizational and time management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills.
Experience mentoring junior staff is considered an asset.
Experience with CaseWare, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office.
Valid Ontario driver's license and willingness to travel within the GTA when required.
