We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience and possess skills in mechanical knowledge, inventory management, and equipment handling. Duties
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently
Assist with order picking, packing, and packaging to ensure accurate order fulfillment
Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments and maintaining inventory accuracy using warehouse management systems like AS400
Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling of heavy loads and adherence to safety protocols
Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic maintenance tasks
Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations and maintaining a clean, organized work setting
Assist in construction or manufacturing tasks as needed,
applying relevant construction experience when applicable
Follow safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work workplace for all team members
Skills
Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (e.g., AS400) for inventory control and order processing
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot heavy equipment issues
Experience in shipping & receiving operations, including load & unload procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Familiarity with manufacturing or construction environments is a plus
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order fulfillment and inventory management
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings while maintaining safety standards
Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific equipment operation
