Become part of The Salvation Army as a Temporary Full time Intake Counsellor in Vancouver until January 14, 2027. Support clients in their recovery journey through intake, counselling, and casework processes. This position entails interviewing and screening clients for the Men’s Treatment program. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate recoveries, support casework, and ensure effective discharge planning.

Your role will also involve extensive documentation and relationship building with community resources for optimal client care. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough client intakes and suitability screening
Collaborate with the counselling team for client progress updates
Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions




Distribute medications and maintain medication records
Participate in clinical supervision and staff development Requirements:
Minimum two years of community college education in counselling
At least one year of frontline counselling experience
Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices
Demonstrated integrity and confidentiality in work
