Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer, Saskatoon Office. Work with experienced engineers and collaborate across multiple teams on exciting projects.Your Main Responsibilities
Lead and support the development of junior team members through mentorship and guidanceOrganize, plan, and carry out geotechnical field investigationsComplete geotechnical calculations and analyses across a variety of project typesConduct geohazard assessments and develop appropriate engineering designsPerform analysis and design work related to earthen dam structures, municipal and commercial infrastructuresInstall, monitor, and interpret data from geotechnical instrumentationCarry out construction inspections related to foundations, earthworks, and similar activitiesPrepare transparent and comprehensive technical reportsCommunicate project progress to project managersContribute to proposal preparation and support business development effortsQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical,
or Geological EngineeringEligibility for registration with APEGSMaster’s degree is considered an advantage, but not mandatoryApproximately 5 or more years of applicable skilled experienceExperience in water structure design or foundation analysis and design is advantageousExperience coordinating geotechnical investigations is considered an assetStrong self‑starter with effective written and verbal communication abilitiesDemonstrated problem‑solving capabilitiesCapable of working independently with limited supervisionFamiliarity with geohazard assessments and/or dam projects is an assetWillingness and ability to travel and work in remote locations under varying weather conditions, when requiredPossession of a valid driver’s licenseBenefits
