Technical Specialist – Hardware Application Design
Position Summary
To produce complex Hardware Application designs, bookwirings, and equipment designs that meet requirements using established engineering processes and railway signaling principles.The Technical Specialist acts as a subject matter expert, leading technical decision-making and providing direction across multiple projects while resolving complex engineering challenges.Required Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering5–10+ years of experience in hardware application designHands‑on experience with
MicroStation
or
AutoCADStrong understanding of railway signalling systems and infrastructureExperience preparing technical design specifications, SoWs, and RFQsFamiliarity with: SAP (Bills of Materials), Configuration Management, Change Control systems (e.G., ClearQuest)Robust communication and documentation skillsMandatory Requirement:
Valid Engineering License in Québec (OIQ)

Technical Leadership‑

standardsProject Management‑
Perform Work Package Manager responsibilities when requiredPlan timelines and track budgets to ensure project deliveryMonitor progress of assigned tasks within the SID teamEnsure deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and budgetFollow client’s work instructions and Chorus processesPreferred Qualifications:
Experience working on
