We are currently looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Evening Cleaner to join our team at Thorhild Central School. You will be working as part of a two-person evening cleaning team responsible for maintaining a clean and safe school environment.

Position Details

Location: Thorhild, Alberta
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Start Time: Between 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
Operate industrial vacuum cleaners and other cleaning equipment
Use equipment such as an auto-scrubber when required
Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly
Clean and disinfect washrooms and kitchen fixtures
Wash windows, interior walls, and other surfaces as needed
Perform high dusting of lights,



vents, and other areas
Maintain overall cleanliness of assigned areas within the school
Assist team members and complete additional cleaning tasks as assigned

Requirements
Minimum 1 year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Valuable communication skills
Valid driver’s license required
Personal vehicle preferred
Must pass a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
WHMIS certification required (training can be provided)
