BC Hydro is seeking a Senior Engineer for Substation Asset Management, specializing in lifecycle planning and maintenance strategy development. Drive initiatives that align capital investments with operational performance and risk management. In this role, you will formulate and execute strategic maintenance plans that optimize asset health and sustainability.
Your expertise in electrical engineering and compliance will ensure adherence to safety and reliability standards. Collaborating across departments, you will support major projects while tracking performance metrics and developing investment strategies. Key Responsibilities:
Create strategic annual maintenance work plans and budgets
Develop a long-term Asset Maintain/Sustain Investment Plan
Consult with various teams on maintenance and capital strategies
Evaluate and report on outages and asset failures
Lead compliance efforts with safety regulations
Requirements:
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree required
Eligible for P.Eng registration in BC
Minimum 8 years of relevant utility experience
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License needed
Robust understanding of Asset Management principles
