Lead immersive outdoor education as a Naturalist specializing in Indigenous Land-Based Learning with the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board. Engage grades JK to 12 in experiential learning aligned with the Ontario curriculum.
This full time, 10-month position focuses on designing and delivering hands-on programs that foster knowledge of Indigenous cultures and environmental stewardship. Ideal candidates will have a background in environmental science or outdoor education along with collaboration experience with Indigenous communities. The role emphasizes planning logistics, maintaining safety, and enhancing Indigenous curriculum integration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop hands-on outdoor education programs for grades JK-12
• Integrate Indigenous curriculum content and learning principles




• Create educational resources and interactive materials
• Conduct daily safety scans of the property
• Coordinate logistics with school staff for program delivery
Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in environmental sciences or related field
• Experience with Indigenous community engagement
• Valid First Aid & CPR certification
• Strong classroom management skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software
