QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor''s Degree with seven (7) years'' related experience including experience as a Chartered Secretary, Paralegal with Corporate Secretarial or Robert''s Rules of Order expertise working in a large complex organization, preferably in health care, corporate governance or the public sector.
Skills And Abilities Advanced knowledge of governance, legislative framework and policy development.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and persuade others.
Ability to create and maintain effective relationships with community leaders, government representatives and others, enhancing trust and reputation in both an advocacy and cooperative manner.
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to assess and establish priorities, meet deadlines, coordinate workflow and work under tight timelines and changing priorities.
Robust computer skills including the ability to use spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software to create, modify and format various documents, communiques, reports and presentations in business vocabulary to effectively represent the Board and the organization to external parties.
Effective interpersonal skills, tact, a positive sense of humour and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals both internal and external to the organization.
Ability to take initiative to resolve problems and follow-up on matters of significance to the organization under minimal direction.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
Ability to remain calm, alert and high functioning under stressful situations.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
