Northern Lights College seeks a part time instructor passionate about early childhood development for the Human Development Education & Care program. This position allows you to teach pivotal courses via video-conferencing.
As a temporary part time instructor, you will prepare and deliver courses such as Health, Safety, and Nutrition, and Guiding and Caring, scheduled between 8:45 am to 11:40 am. Engaging students effectively online from Dawson Creek or Fort St John, you will play a significant role in preparing them for careers in early childhood education environments. Your commitment to diverse learners will enhance the educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach HDEC 102: Health, Safety, and Nutrition effectively online
• Deliver HDEC 103: Guiding and Caring with an emphasis on development
• Create a constructive and supportive learning atmosphere
• Evaluate and guide student progress throughout the course
• Continuously update course materials to ensure relevance
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Care and Learning
• Three years’ experience in licensed childcare settings
• Instructional experience in relevant education programs
• ECEC Diploma with appropriate certifications
• Valid Class 7N driver's license
