Become a vital part of community planning with Parkland County as a Planner I specializing in Subdivision Planning. Drive development projects that have a positive influence on local communities.
This full time position is a permanent role within the Planning & Development Services team. Reporting to senior staff, you will coordinate and review subdivision and conceptual planning projects. Your role will include providing strategic advice, supporting policy development, and representing the County in various planning discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and assess subdivision planning applications
• Offer recommendations on development agreements and policies
• Assist in preparing reports and studies for planning initiatives
• Promote continuous improvement in planning programs
• Serve on committees representing Parkland County’s interests
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or related field
• Eligibility for the Canadian Institute of Planners membership
• Familiarity with applicable planning legislation in Alberta
• Experience with CAD and GIS tools is an asset
• Valid driver’s license and passing criminal background check
