Essential Functions of the Job: To receive product in the warehouse, unpack and put product away.
Ship merchandise as required.
To co-ordinate and assist in delivering product to customers in a qualified and efficient manner.
Maintain current and accurate records of merchandise entering or leaving the warehouse.
Be familiar with the different lines of merchandise carried in the Agro Centre.
Sort packing slips and invoices and distribute to the Agro Manager.
To assemble damaged merchandise as received in the warehouse and advise the Agro Manager for markdown recording and claims preparation.
Initiate claims for damaged or short shipped merchandise.
Maintain warehouse and agro yard in an orderly, organized manner.
Operate and maintain all equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
Assist in scheduling the maintenance of all vehicles and equipment.
Satisfactorily settle all customer complaints referred to him/her in accordance with company policy.
To be responsible for the security of the warehouse area receiving doors locked at all times except receiving or shipping merchandise, in and out shipments properly accounted for, etc.
Observe safety measures and repor t hazardous conditions immediately to the Agro Manager.
Assist in other areas as assigned.
