Hello! We are looking for a mature, reliable, and experienced adult to provide either live in care or an overnight presence at a home in the Durham Region (Bowmanville area) for two teenagers (ages 15 and 16).
The teens have some developmental delays and require an adult in the home overnight for safety oversight, routine consistency, and overall peace of mind.
They are largely independent with their nightly routines.
The primary focus of this role is ensuring the home is secure, maintaining a calm setting, and being an available adult presence in the house overnight in case of any needs or emergencies.
Duties Include: Arriving at the home at 10:00 PM and staying until 6:00 AM the following morning. (Can stay longer- unpaid, if you wish to sleep in later) Ensuring the doors and windows are locked and the house is secure for the night.
Providing a reassuring, reliable adult presence overnight.
Staying in a private guest bedroom/designated sleeping space.
No cooking, deep cleaning, or driving is required.
You are welcome to study, read, or sleep once the teens are settled for the night.
