This position reports to the Superintendent Rock Mechanics, aiming to maintain protected operational standards through rigorous inspections and geotechnical data collection. You'll play a key role in analyzing seismic risks and developing creative solutions within a complex mining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform underground safety inspections regularly
• Develop and manage geotechnical monitoring programs
• Analyze and report on geotechnical hazards
• Coordinate with Geology for data collection effectiveness
• Lead QA/QC assessments for ground support systems
Requirements:
• BSc in geological or mining engineering, geotechnical specialty preferred
• Fluent in both French and English
• Experience with DIPS and PHASE2 software
• Strong analytical and organizational capabilities
• Dedicated to maintaining a safe work workplace
