Location: Victoria, BC V9B 6X2, Canada
Salary: $51,609.66 – $62,938.61 per annum
Position Summary
Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional, non‑partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members. The Precinct Services department is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented, hands‑on Building Mechanical Maintenance Technician with a specialization in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, the BMMT is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance projects within strict deadlines and budget constraints.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a property‑management or trades environment
- Valid BC Driver’s License
Preference may be given to candidates who have:
- Experience supporting or assisting with HVAC system maintenance and repairs in a commercial or institutional environment, or completion of formal HVAC or related mechanical training
- Hands‑on experience with building systems and mechanical components
- Experience coordinating construction and maintenance projects
