Be a vital part of AgeCare James Bay in Victoria, BC, as a Health Care Aide. This role focuses on providing personalized care to enhance resident comfort and dignity.
In this position, you will support residents with daily activities such as bathing, transferring between mobility aids, and meal assistance. You’ll also carry out routine treatments as directed by nursing staff, ensuring residents' needs are met compassionately and effectively, contributing to their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Bath and shower residents following safety protocols
• Assist with safe transfers using mechanical aids
• Support residents during meal times based on care plans
• Implement routine treatments under nurse supervision
• Accompany residents to scheduled activities and appointments
Requirements:
• One year of experience in a related care workplace
• HCA or equivalent certification required
• Fluent in both oral and written English
• Registration with Health Care Aide authorities
• Post-secondary education is an asset
