About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Investment Finance and Valuations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the private equity and private credit valuation team, as well as partnering with the infrastructure asset valuations team to develop and optimize valuation processes. This role involves leading a team of approximately 10 individuals, overseeing the quarterly and annual valuation processes for a significant portfolio of assets, and ensuring that valuations are robust, supportable, and consistent across different asset classes. The VP will also be involved in maintaining financial models, enhancing valuation tools,
and actively participating in data governance initiatives.
Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years' valuation experience, with a preference for those who have worked with a global institutional investor. A professional designation such as CBV, CPA, or CFA is required, along with a Bachelor's degree in a related field. The role demands deep expertise in valuation methodologies, excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Solid communication abilities, particularly in engaging with executives and boards, are essential. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a proven track record of developing high-performing teams. Experience in a large, dynamic investment environment and a strong knowledge of IFRS and regulatory requirements for pension funds are also preferred.
