Elk Valley Resources is seeking an Engineer in Training for Electrical Systems to support reliability and maintenance in a mining setting. This role offers a unique chance to grow your expertise in electrical engineering while working amid the stunning Elk Valley landscape.
As a key member of the electrical team, you’ll report to the Electrical Superintendent and focus on reliability and maintenance across coal processing facilities. Your work will include managing electrical assets and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize plant performance. Safety and technical knowledge are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in health and safety programs
• Develop maintenance strategies for electrical systems
• Support plant shutdown planning activities
• Manage electrical asset health and strategies
• Conduct root cause analyses for failures
Requirements:
• Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• At least three years’ experience in electrical roles
• Experience in heavy industry is a plus
• Eligible for Skilled Engineer registration
• Skilled in AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office® Suite
