Join the Oak Child and Youth Advocacy Centre as a Youth Victim Services Advocate and support young victims in navigating vital support systems. Your guidance will help them heal from trauma and rebuild their lives.

In this focused role, you will provide essential services to assist children and youth who have experienced abuse. Responsibilities include coordinating services across health, justice, and advocacy sectors while ensuring effective communication between all parties. Ideal applicants will possess solid advocacy skills and demonstrate cultural competency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess client needs using trauma-informed methods
• Facilitate connections to appropriate support services
• Prepare clients for court processes and legal navigation




• Conduct risk assessments and safety planning
• Manage relationships with multidisciplinary service providers

Requirements:
• Diploma in social services plus two years experience
• Proven knowledge of relevant legislation and trauma impact
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience in intake and needs assessment processes
• Commitment to privacy and ethical guidelines
