Elevate your career with CIRO as a Senior Policy Counsel. This hybrid position focuses on developing policies that enhance market integrity in the Canadian investment sector.

In this influential role, you will report to the Director of Market Regulation Policy and contribute significantly to CIRO’s leadership in Canadian market structure. Key tasks include drafting policies based on thorough research, liaising with Canadian Securities Administrators, and analyzing market structure changes. The position requires both independent initiative and effective collaboration with CIRO teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Draft recent and revised policies on market integrity
• Liaise with the Canadian Securities Administrators on regulations




• Analyze domestic and international marketplace operations
• Represent CIRO in meetings with stakeholders and regulatory bodies
• Provide timely support to various CIRO divisions

Requirements:
• Law Degree with active Bar membership in Canada
• 5–10 years’ experience in securities regulations
• Familiarity with policy development processes
• Robust analytical, communication, and writing skills
• Knowledge of trading practices and securities legislation
