Become a Wind Technician I with ENGIE North America, supporting the Cape Scott Wind Farm near Port Hardy, BC. This role focuses on basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and safety procedures.
ENGIE North America seeks a Wind Technician I to assist in the operation of its wind facilities. You will specialize in troubleshooting and perform essential maintenance tasks on wind turbines. Candidates must be located within 80km of the site and be ready to respond to emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform basic troubleshooting on wind turbines
• Complete safety and risk assessments daily
• Climb wind turbines for maintenance tasks
• Operate hand tools and testing equipment
• Manage inventory of parts and tools
Requirements:
• Minimum one year in wind, solar, or BESS operations
• Knowledge of AC/DC voltage and electrical systems
• GWO certification or equivalent must be obtained
• Valid Canadian driver's license with a clean record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb heights
