Become a key player in St. Louis's Water Division as a Water Maintenance Technician. This full time role focuses on maintaining and repairing essential water distribution and production systems.
This position requires two years of construction experience, emphasizing skills in operating heavy machinery, hand tools, and performing specialized manual tasks. You will be responsible for tasks such as cutting pipes, operating pumps, and managing asphalt repairs. Safety is paramount, and you’ll be involved in various duties to ensure the city’s water supply remains reliable and effective.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain various water distribution systems
• Dig trenches for water and chemical lines
• Perform asphalt and concrete repairs
• Utilize heavy equipment and power tools safely
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
• Minimum two years of construction experience
• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
• Knowledge of water or sewer line construction
• Ability to work mandatory overtime and on-call hours
• CDL license preferred but not required
