Humber River Health seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse for the 8 East Respirology Unit. This part time role involves delivering patient-focused care during rotating shifts tailored to the healthcare needs of our community.
In this temporary position, your responsibilities include caring for patients with complex respiratory conditions. You'll engage in team-oriented assessments and participate in necessary healthcare projects. Your leadership in preceptorship for current nurses is invaluable to building a robust healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide care for patients with respiratory conditions
• Collaborate effectively with respiratory therapists
• Assess and plan care with team members
• Document patient care using computerized systems
• Serve as a preceptor for nursing students
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• BCLS certification desirable within 3 months
• Two years of medical/surgical nursing experience preferred
• Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and feeding tubes
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
