Become a key player in the Communications and Citizen Engagement team as a Communications Officer II in Saskatoon. Focus your skills on developing strategies that engage MN–S citizens effectively.
In this full time role, reporting to the Communications Manager, your experience in communications strategy will be pivotal in offering strategic advice to various portfolios. You will assess communication needs, leading campaign planning and ensuring effective delivery. Collaborating across departments, you will enhance transparency and community interactions, while managing media relations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead strategic planning for assigned communications portfolios
• Anticipate communication risks and recommend solutions
• Develop and implement effective communication campaigns
• Guide content strategy and messaging consistency
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and media monitoring
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or equivalent
• 5+ years of direct communications experience
• Solid skills in campaign development and media relations
• Understanding of Métis culture
• Valid driver’s license is mandatory
