Scheduling Requirements

- Full and part‑time positions available: PSW must be available for 12‑hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Must be available Saturday and Sunday; flexibility for day, evening, and overnight shifts preferred.
- Must be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing, weekly schedule for the foreseeable future.
- Available and willing to see multiple clients throughout the day.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans.
- Provide companionship and light housekeeping to help a person stay at home.
- Prepare meals in accordance with the client and/or the family's request (open to preparing different kinds of cuisine).
- Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker.
- Assist clients in all activities of daily living/hygiene assistance: bathing, grooming, linen changes, etc.
- Assist clients with transfers, ambulation & exercises.
- Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly.
- Function within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practice safely and competently within the job description.
- Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.

Requirements





- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable access to a car for daily work.
- Ability to travel between assignments within designated work area; asset if you can travel to rural/remote areas.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
- PSW certification from an approved and recognized educational institution or international nursing/doctoral certification.
- Negative TB test completed within the last year.
- Valid CPR/First Aid certificate.
- Valid WHMIS 2015 Certificate of Completion.
- COVID vaccination receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario's Human Rights Code.
- Immunization for measles, rubella, varicella, tetanus, and diphtheria required; hepatitis B immunization strongly urged.
- Valid Criminal Record Check completed within the last year.
- Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed.
- Requires good judgment, ability to work independently, and cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team.
- Current/Valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) registration is an asset.
