The Criminal Law Division is seeking a temporary Assistant Crown Attorney for up to 12 months. The ideal candidate will be actively involved in prosecuting crimes and managing criminal cases in various courts, including the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice. Your role will require integration of advanced legal knowledge, advocacy skills, and the ability to respond to procedural requirements effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct prosecutions and hearings for various court cases
• Manage criminal case workloads efficiently
• Provide legal education and training to stakeholders
• Maintain knowledge of divisional and provincial initiatives
• Assist with research and prosecution support
Requirements:
• Valid membership in valuable standing with the Law Society of Ontario
• Fluency in French and English, superior level
• Proven experience in criminal prosecutions
• Robust understanding of criminal law and procedures
• Ability to travel between court locations
