Role Description The Reefer Tech role is a full time, on-site position based in Brampton, ON. In this role, the technician inspects, diagnoses, and repairs refrigerated trailer units and related systems, ensuring proper temperature control and secure operation. Daily tasks include performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing service records, and coordinating with the service team to prioritize work orders.

Tech also communicates clearly with supervisors and drivers about repair status, follows safety procedures, and maintains a clean and organized work area.





Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude with experience servicing and repairing refrigeration units, trailers, or heavy-duty equipment.

Knowledge of electrical systems, basic diagnostics, and the use of standard tools and testing equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders accurately.

Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints.

Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with service teams and operations staff.

Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to company and regulatory safety standards.

Previous experience as a reefer technician, diesel technician, or similar role in transportation or logistics is an asset.

Relevant trade certification, apprenticeship, or technical training in mechanics or refrigeration is preferred.

Willingness to work flexible schedule or overtime as needed to support operational requirements.
