This permanent position focuses on producing and managing the short-term production schedule, ensuring safety and quality in mining operations. You'll report directly to the Senior Mining Engineer and will be responsible for maintaining two-week schedules, optimizing material movements, and supporting daily activities. A bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering is required, along with experience in open-pit mining.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain protected and efficient mining schedules
• Create drilling and ore blend plans for production
• Optimise waste dump designs and material movements
• Manage all planning outputs including updates
• Provide planning support for short-term infrastructure
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or similar
• Relevant experience in mining design and scheduling
• Familiar with Vulcan and Alastri software tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Focused on continuous improvements and proactive solutions
