About the Role
The Company is in search of a Head of Video for the 2026 A New Holiday Surprise Touring production. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading the Video Department to ensure the integrity, operation, and maintenance of all video systems and playback elements. This role is pivotal in achieving the creative intent of the show's video and projection design across all venues, and the Head of Video will work closely with the Lighting, Technical Direction, and Stage Management teams to deliver consistent, high-quality visuals in every performance. Key responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the video system, managing live and pre-recorded video feeds,
and collaborating with the team to adapt video systems to fit various venues while maintaining creative integrity.
Applicants for the Head of Video position should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent skilled experience in Video Engineering, Media Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years' in video systems or projection design for live entertainment or touring productions. Proficiency in video control and playback systems is essential, as is a strong knowledge of projection, LED, and networking systems for live performance environments. The role requires a candidate with strong leadership, team management, communication, and problem-solving skills, who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. Experience in a touring context and familiarity with the performance style and multimedia integration of the company are advantageous. The Head of Video must be able to travel domestically for extended periods and maintain eligibility for U.S. employment and travel.
