Extendicare is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-focused care in a part-time capacity. Join a dynamic care team to enhance the lives of residents through goal-oriented nursing.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse reporting directly to the Director of Care or Director of Health & Wellness, you will ensure high-quality nursing care. You will manage clinical assessments, implement care plans, and provide medication administration while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. This role includes vital responsibilities such as responding to medical emergencies and ensuring patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively within an inter-professional team
• Complete and document clinical care assessments accurately
• Implement and evaluate care/service plans effectively
• Provide direct resident care and administer treatments
• Facilitate resident education and family support
Requirements:
• Active registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Experience in senior care environments preferred
• Solid communication and critical thinking skills
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certified
• Willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
