- Lead electrical design activities for mining and metals projects, including power distribution systems, substations, and related infrastructure.
- Perform equipment sizing and selection for key electrical components such as transformers, generators, drives, switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems, cables, and grounding systems.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of engineering standards, best practices, and technical guidelines.
- Prepare technical documentation, bid packages, and evaluation materials for electrical equipment and bulk materials.
- Produce core electrical engineering deliverables such as single‑line diagrams, load lists, equipment datasheets, layouts, cable schedules, and design packages for execution.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical oversight to junior and intermediate team members.
- Contribute to engineering studies, technical reports, and design reviews, including evaluation of alternative approaches.
- Promote collaboration and high performance through coaching, knowledge sharing,
and day‑to‑day support.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to support successful project delivery.
- Manage electrical discipline activities to align with project scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Ensure applicable codes, standards, and project requirements are reflected in the design.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues and coordinate design interfaces.
- Support quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the design process.
- Work with stakeholders to identify technical challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Use engineering tools, software, and reference materials effectively to support accurate and productive design work.
- Provide guidance to junior and intermediate engineers and designers across project phases.
