This full time role at IWK Health focuses on helping clients with disrupted learning and mental health issues. As a key part of the Outreach team, you will travel throughout Nova Scotia, meet families, and develop individualized education plans. The teacher will also collaborate with public school staff to ensure the best educational supports are in place.

Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment teams for children and adolescents
• Develop and monitor individualized education plans for clients




• Collaborate with school staff to create educational supports
• Conduct assessments to identify learning gaps
• Provide one-on-one teaching as needed

Requirements:
• Baccalaureate Degree in Education and Arts/Science
• Valid Nova Scotia Teacher’s Certificate (minimum ITC)
• Two years of teaching experience required
• Training in working with youth with exceptionalities
• Robust communication and organizational skills
