Role Description The Quality System Supervisor is a full time, in office role based in Edmonton, AB, responsible for overseeing and maintaining the company’s quality management systems. This position monitors compliance with API, ISO, ABSA, and internal standards, conducts regular quality audits, and ensures that processes and documentation are accurate and up to date. The supervisor leads quality control activities across machining and welding operations, including inspections, nonconformance management, and corrective and preventive actions.
Day-to-day tasks include coordinating training on quality procedures, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with production and engineering teams, and preparing reports and metrics for management review.
Qualifications
Solid skills in Quality Control and Quality Management to oversee inspection processes and quality performance.
Experience in Auditing and Quality System administration to maintain compliance with API, ISO, and ABSA standards.
Ability to deliver Training related to quality procedures, standards, and continuous improvement practices.
Knowledge of machining, welding, or oil and gas manufacturing environments.
Post-secondary education in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in documentation, report writing, and use of quality management software or ERP systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead by example.
