AltaML is looking for a part-time Legal Director to serve as the key legal advisor while managing contract negotiations and corporate governance obligations. This fractional role allows legal experts to impact the company meaningfully without a full time commitment, with responsibilities that may evolve as needs change. Engage directly with CFO and board members as a strategic partner.

Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate and manage a variety of commercial agreements
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards
• Coordinate board agendas and investor relations materials




• Lead legal support for M&A; and strategic partnerships
• Supervise outside counsel to optimize legal resources

Requirements:
• J.D. with Law Society of Alberta positive standing
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience in corporate law
• Proven corporate governance and cap table knowledge
• Familiarity with SaaS or tech contracts
• Strong ability to work autonomously and manage priorities
