The Senior Product

Designer will join our Product Led Growth team to focus on onboarding and activation for recent law firm customers. You will own the design of the first 120 days of the customer journey, ensuring new users experience meaningful value, develop the habits that make Clio indispensable, and stay engaged. Own end‑to‑end design of the onboarding and activation experience across all Clio products, mapping the journey from initial setup to habit formation and discovery of additional features.

Design and ship in‑product guidance: checklists, empty states, contextual tooltips, progress indicators, and in‑app guidance to support users through setup and value moments. Partner with Product to define activated customer metrics by segment and firm type, and design experiences that move customers toward those milestones. Conduct research and design tooling for Onboarding Specialists and Data Migration teams, improving internal workflows and reducing setup time.





Collaborate closely with PM and Engineering teams across multiple product groups to translate onboarding challenges into transparent, shippable design solutions. Provide thoughtful feedback in design critiques and contribute to the growth of fellow designers. 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in SaaS or B2B. ~ Track record of shipping products that solve customer problems and move company metrics, with specific examples. ~ Proficiency in user research methodologies, funnel data, cohort analysis, and time‑to‑milestone metrics. ~ Proficient with modern design tools such as Figma. ~ Strong understanding of interaction design principles, usability, visual design, and accessibility;

experience with design systems. ~ Preferred: experience designing internal tooling for operational teams, knowledge of onboarding analytics tools (Pendo, Amplitude, Appcues), AI‑assisted workflow, legal‑tech or vertical SaaS.

Compensation ranges from $128,400 to $173,600CAD depending on experience and region, with additional benefits such as top‑tier health insurance, hybrid work workplace with local office days, flexible time off, and learning and development programs.
