Join the new role of Financial Navigator in the Health Promotion department at Kenora Chiefs Advisory. This position supports individuals across eight First Nations by providing essential financial empowerment services, including tax preparation, assisting with advantages applications, and financial coaching. You'll work collaboratively with clients using culturally grounded, trauma-informed methods to enhance their financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored tax filing support and Notices of Assessment access
• Assist with applications for ODSP, OW, and perks
• Deliver personalized financial coaching on budgeting and goals
• Conduct community outreach through workshops and events
• Track client outcomes and reporting for stakeholders
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in related fields
• Experience with Indigenous communities or vulnerable populations
• Familiarity with tax software and financial systems
• Solid organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently
