Join Toronto Zoo as a Wildlife Science Postdoctoral Researcher to lead impactful research on Indigenous governance and wildlife conservation. This two-year fellowship prioritizes creative ethical frameworks.

This position is designed for a passionate researcher interested in exploring Indigenous engagement strategies in conservation practices. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, your responsibilities will encompass organizing investigative research and collaborating closely with the Zoo's Indigenous Relations Director. Your work will support the National Wildlife Cryobank's governance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct oversight of a significant research initiative
• Develop partnerships with Indigenous communities for research collaboration
• Mentor students participating in the research project




• Publish and communicate findings across various platforms
• Seek external funding prospects for research activities

Requirements:
• Doctorate in Indigenous studies or related disciplines, no more than 2 years post-PhD
• Demonstrated research experience in wildlife conservation
governance
• Proven ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working on weekends and holidays

Utilize your research expertise to foster relationships and impact wildlife conservation policy at the Toronto Zoo.
