Periphery Digital is a digital marketing agency that helps brands grow through strategic media planning, creative production, and data-driven insights. We're looking for a Junior Accountant to join our finance team and support our day-to-day accounting operations.

Position Overview

Location: Remote (Argentina preferred)

Employment Type: Contractor (Hourly)

We're seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support our finance operations on an on-demand basis. This hourly contractor role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants to develop their skills in a rapid-paced digital agency environment. You'll work closely with our Financial Operations Supervisor and finance team to maintain accurate financial records, support reporting processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards as needed

Basic Function

The Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day finance operations including invoicing, PO creation, accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting on an on-demand basis. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records and contributes to monthly reporting under the guidance of the Financial Operations Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Invoicing, PO creation, AR/ AP, Collections & Software Management

- Process invoices for clients and POs for vendors using Scoro.
- Process supplier bills and contractor payments using: QuickBooks, Plooto and Float.
- Set up vendor and payment profiles in finance systems
- Maintain organized records of all AP transactions
- Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely processing

Bookkeeping & Reconciliation

- Record financial transactions into ledgers accurately and promptly
- Reconcile accounts including credit cards, bank statements, and prepaid expenses




- Prepare monthly working papers and assist with journal entries
- Send out collections reminders to overdue clients
- Maintain filing systems for financial documents

Reporting Support

- Support budget tracking and variance analysis
- Prepare basic financial reports as needed

Compliance & Tax Support

- Support year-end audit preparation by organizing working papers
- Collect and archive financial statements and supporting documents
- Ensure all documentation follows established procedures

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

- Advanced Student or Associate's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Preferably 1-2 years of experience in accounting
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices

Technical Skills

- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks experience preferred)
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Comfortable learning new software and digital tools
- Basic understanding of AI tools like ChatGPT

Core Competencies

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and ask questions when needed
- Comfortable working in a remote, digital-first environment
