We are hiring a dedicated Nurse to advance osteoporosis management in our community. This full time role focuses on supporting patients over 50 who experience fragility fractures in West Suffolk.
As a Nurse (band 6 equivalent) with our community interest company, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and managing patients who have sustained fragility fractures. Your expertise in conducting assessments, developing actionable care plans, and educating patients will help combat the increasing prevalence of osteoporosis. You'll work collaboratively to support and enhance bone health for the elderly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments to evaluate bone health and fractures
• Provide expert advice on fracture prevention strategies
• Manage falls risk assessment and prevention guidance
• Administer biannual denosumab injections
• Participate in developing high-quality fracture liaison services
Requirements:
• Relevant nursing qualifications and experience in fracture care
• Valid driving license for patient visits
• Robust commitment to patient education
• Ability to work independently in community settings
• Experience in evidence-based clinical services
