Take the lead in Labour Relations with the Vancouver School Board. This role requires expertise in multi-union environments and strategic advising for optimal staff relationships.
The Director of Labour Relations reports to the executive director of employee services. The position is crucial in managing collective bargaining, contract administration, and grievance resolution. With over 7-10 years in large public sectors, you'll ensure compliance and develop training programs for district leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead collective bargaining and labour relations strategies
• Provide strategic advice to district leadership
• Manage grievances, investigations, and mediations
• Develop training programs for leadership staff
• Prepare reports for the Board of Trustees on labour issues
Requirements:
• 7-10 years in labour relations, preferably in K-12
• Degree in HR, labour relations, or law
• CPHR designation required, graduate degree preferred
• Solid interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Effective business writing and communication abilities
