This full-time, permanent position reports to the City Manager, offering strategic leadership across community programs, recreation, parks, library services, and homelessness initiatives. As a key member of the Senior Management Committee, you will oversee a team of four direct reports and approximately 57 indirect reports. Your strategic influence will help shape service delivery that responds to community evolution and public needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set strategic direction aligning with Council priorities
• Strengthen accountability, performance measurement, and long-term planning




• Guide budgeting and financial stewardship for the department
• Build management capacity and support employee development
• Foster relationships with community partners and Indigenous communities
Requirements:
• Relevant university degree required
• Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience
• Background in public-facing services or municipal government
• Strong financial and operational acumen
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams and collaboration
