CUMIS Union seeks a motivated Bilingual Claims Examiner I for a hybrid position. Bring your customer service experience and bilingual skills to ensure timely claims processing and support.
In this full-time role, you will contribute to the Creditor Claims department by finalizing and managing current claim records. You'll process claims, communicate effectively with policyholders, and maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information. Your proactive approach will aid in delivering exceptional services and achieving departmental objectives while collaborating with a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Finalize and process auto-adjudicated and straightforward claims
• Maintain crucial documentation and Claims Centre email communications




• Assess coverage through communication with policyholders
• Determine claims needing re-assessment by senior examiners
• Review medical information for total and permanent claims
Requirements:
• Completed post-secondary diploma with customer service experience (6-12 months)
• Bilingual in English and French
• Progress in medical terminology education (preferred)
• Knowledge of LOMA 280 & 290 or ACS 100 is a plus
• Uphold confidentiality with client information
