Coulson Aviation seeks an experienced S-61 Pilot in Command to lead aerial firefighting missions across diverse environments. This role requires expertise in FAA regulations and operational standards.
As a Pilot in Command reporting to the Chief Pilot, you'll ensure flight safety and efficiency for various assignments including firefighting and reconnaissance. Your responsibilities include preflight planning, aircraft inspections, and thorough compliance with aviation regulations. Successful candidates will demonstrate solid decision-making skills and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute safe aircraft operations per FAA regulations
• Review flight assignments and weather conditions
• Ensure thorough preflight planning and readiness
• Maintain accurate flight logs and operational records
• Support and mentor copilots and crew members
Requirements:
• FAA Commercial Rotorcraft License required
• Minimum 2,500 hours PIC preferred
• Robust knowledge of FAA regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
