Based in the Fort McMurray area, this role requires at least two years of post-Journeyman experience with large trucks and machinery. Candidates should possess excellent diagnostic skills and be capable of working autonomously. Experience with Cat SIS and safety-sensitive sites is an asset, with responsibilities including repairs, preventative maintenance, and mentoring apprentices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Complete repairs on Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment
• Conduct inspections to detect faults and malfunctions
• Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery




• Mobilize equipment for necessary repairs
• Mentor and train apprentices in mechanics

Requirements:
• Two years’ experience as a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Valid Alberta Journeyperson Equipment Technician Certificate
• Solid troubleshooting and leadership skills
• Basic computer application knowledge
• Tools and insurance as required for off-road equipment
