The Infection Control Practitioner, as a Registered Nurse, brings essential skills in outbreak management and infection prevention. Reporting to the IPAC Manager, your efforts will ensure adherence to health safety standards and improve patient outcomes. Engaging with staff at all levels allows you to mentor and educate on infection control processes effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement infection control protocols
• Conduct routine risk assessments and reviews
• Mentor and train healthcare staff on best practices
• Monitor effectiveness of infection prevention strategies
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Active Registered Nurse license
• Experience in acute or long-term care settings
• Knowledge in infection control practices
• Participation in an IPAC Canada course
